weeks 3 and 4 of summer camp
For weeks 3 and 4 of summer, T and J went to the Dougherty Arts School, a previous favorite camp location. The session they were enrolled in was called "Alternate Timelines" and was focused on superheroes. While this isn't the session they really wanted to attend at Dougherty Arts, it's what worked in our schedule. Despite the theme, they had a fabulous time creating superheroes. Since they were in with the 8 and 9 year olds, they got to do computer art this summer which they loved. They celebrated their 8th birthday during the session, so we sent cookies and juice to share with their fellow campers. This was a special treat for them since they don't get to have a birthday at school, and they complain that B does. On the last day of camp, they got to go to the new water sprinkler park on Town Lake, another treat which they really enjoyed.
