new crocs
J is fortunate enough to get hand-me-down shoes from several girls. As a result, she has as many shoes as Imelda Marcos. T is not so lucky in part because most of the boys we know are about the same age as him rather than older. In addition, boys tend to destroy their shoes in ways that girls don't. Every once in a while, though, he gets lucky. The pair of high tops at left are one such instance wherein he got hand-me-downs. He adores those shoes and wears them often.
Since both J and T got hand-me-down shoes recently, B was very disappointed to get left out. In the batch of shoes J received that day was a pair of pink crocs. They're three sizes to big for her, but they'll keep. However, B started a campaign for blue crocs. Since both the other two had gotten new shoes, I was guilted into buying him a new pair. We went online together and ordered the crocs. He really wanted the turquoise, but they didn't have them in his size (10-11). So we got light blue instead. Every day for a week B asked if his new shoes were coming that day from UPS. The day they actually came, he was overjoyed. He wears them frequently though we've had to limit him wearing them a bit because they seem to aggravate the knee he sprained a few weeks ago.Labels: around the house
