great hashbrowns
This morning we tried this hashbrown recipe. I borrowed a potato ricer from a friend (thanks Samantha!). I had never heard of a potato ricer before let alone used one, and I didn't want to buy one just to waste $20 and to clutter up the kitchen appliance graveyard with one more thing. The recipe/method was a success. We finally were able to make non-mushy hashbrowns that met Daddy-o's approval. They really needed some onions and peppers to add to the flavor, but they were the best hashbrowns we've ever made at home. I will be investing in the potato ricer for sure! It'll make a good Father's Day gift.
