a leap day walk in the park
Blue Dog is not doing so well. He's not eating much, and so Daddy-o and I are worried that his health problems are getting worse. Blue Dog has been a part of our family for 11 years as of this week, and his heart started having problems five
years ago. He wasn't expected to last as long as he has. However, Blue Dog is still very perky when he goes on walks. As part of an effort to spend some family time with him before anything worse might happen if he continues his hunger strike, we went to the park yesterday afternoon for a family walk. It was gorgeous out at 79 degrees though the pollen was a bit heavy in the air (and subsequently our sinuses).
The kids had a decent time at the park, though there were protests because we didn't spend time on the playground. They did explore along the creek, especially T. He was drawn to the water like a mosquito and was almost as determined to get
into it as a fish. However, it's kind of a mucky mess right now because we haven't had much rain to keep it moving. Hence, Daddy-o and I insisted he stay out. He ran along the banks and on the path instead.There were quite a few flowers in bloom, not just the dandelions. A lot of bulb flowers like tulips have come up.

s really want one. So far the answer has been no.Also along our path home was this cat. It lives at a house where there are many, many cats. The owner arrived ho
me as we were walking away, and this cat ran to jump in her car. Two other cats appeared out of nowhere to greet the owner, too.T spotted this Yoda statue on the dashboard of someone's car. He likes it. A lot.
