a birthday party and some robots
I'm starting to get horridly behind on posting things that TBnJ have done. I'll be working out of order for a while just to try and get things up as I can.Yesterday, TBnJ went to a birthday party at a nearby park for a friend who was turning four. The kids had been at each others' throats all weekend long. Part of it was that B had been home from school with a 103+ fever, so he was bored. He decided to use what energy he had starting on Friday afternoon to torment his siblings when they got home from school. But it continued all weekend
long. J was also in delightful spirits as she has a cold (which she has now generously shared with me). They all NEEDED to get out of the house and go to this party yesterday afternoon. B had been fever free for 30 hours, and even though he still has a mild cough, he went too. He's back at school today, too.The party was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, but due to a forecast of 100% chance of rain with optional tornadoes and hail (which didn't materialize), the party got moved to Sunday. This was ok with us. It meant that Daddy-o and T got to go to a high school Robot Roundup hosted by Anderson Robotics instead. B was at home watching movies and refusing to nap; J was napping. T really enjoyed the robotics show and the one-on-one time with Daddy-o.
He got to play with a few of the robots in addition to seeing them demonstrated. But anyway, the party was lots of fun for the kids on the gorgeous rescheduled day (65 and sunny). They also went hiking at the park afterwards with the birthday host family. It made for very tired kids when they got home from the party.
