vegan biscuits
The kids love these biscuits especially with honey (not vegan!) on them. This is a double recipe that could easily be cut in half, but for our family of five, a single batch wouldn't be enough. These are best served warm from the oven, but the kids will eat them cold or reheated, too.

Vegan Biscuits
1/2 c shortening
4 c whole spelt flour
2T sucanat
2T baking powder
2t sea salt
1.5 c oat milk (or any other milk you like)
Cut the shortening into the dry goods. Add the milk. Bake in an oiled 9"x13" glass pan for about 12 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
