Fruitabus and little states
T's new food obsession (as opposed to tv or book obsession) is Fruitabus (warning: noisy site with no volume control). I ordered some grape ones off of Amazon, and the kids liked them. They've never had a fruit roll up type thing, or at least not in recent years. J actually eats them, too, though since they are mostly apple, they aren't adding too much variety to her limited diet.
Today for lunch, T and J both had a grape Fruitabu in their lunch. J gave hers to T for whatever reason. One of T's many "Liam" friends (I think we're up to 5 we see on a regular basis and others we don't see so often) gave T a raspberry one which Liam had in his lunch. So T had three for lunch. After school, a box of apple ones had come with the Greenling delivery, so T had one of those, too. And when we wouldn't let him have another for dinner because we thought four was enough for one day, there were tears.

I volunteered to organize and purchase t-shirts for T & J's class, the Golden Cheetahs. The shirts shipped from Keene, New Hampshire yesterday. We discussed it at dinner, and the kids were having a hard time with the fact that the shirts would not go straight from Keene to Austin. They didn't see the need for a routing detour to Dallas or Houston first (and actually FedEx says they only made it as far as Willington, Connecticut today, a town I've never even heard of).
J went to the map in the toy room this afternoon to locate Keene, New Hampshire. She was successful, and then she told T, "Look at all these little states." Growing up in Texas has definitely shaped her world view. Texas isn't big; it's the rest of the states that are little.
