the silliest mushroom

The daily rain in Austin continues. We've had more by July this year than we normally have in an entire year through December. We haven't had a temperature higher than 94 this year. It's just plan wacky.

Most of the local residents are sick of the rain. It's putting a damper on a lot of outside summer activities. It's also ruining local crops. The farmers planted drought resistant high heat crops, and the crops are drowning instead. Most of the local squash is gone. The okra seems to be holding up well, but I'm not a huge fan of okra. Green beans and tomatoes are also holding up fairly well.

As proof of the abundant rain, we submit exhibit A, a mushroom growing at a 90 degree angle out of the brick and wood garage door frame at our house. B has dubbed it "the silliest mushroom I ever saw." T and J thought it was pretty impressive too.
