distant bridge is falling down
B has decided lately that life is a song that is meant to be sung, and he is the star singer. He is singing all. the. time. In the shower, out of the shower, in the car, in the house, outside, at the table, in bed... he always has a song to sing. A lot of this has to do with the Christmas carols they've been learning at school such as "Frosty" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." But he is not limiting his repetoire to Christmas songs. He's also singing many traditional children's favorites as well. Among those he has been singing is "London Bridge is Falling Down." At one point earlier this week after listening to him sing the song all night long I was more than ready for someone to knock the dang bridge down already.
Part of the issue with all this singing is that B doesn't really know the lyrics to all the songs. So half the time he sings "Distant Bridge is Falling Down." J, a perfectionist, is driven batty by this. She gets very upset with B for not singing the correct words. B, little brother that he is, takes this as his cue not only to continue singing the wrong words but to sing them even louder to drive his sister even nuttier.
