frosted mangoes and more

Last night, B and J went to a birthday party at South Austin Rock Gym. T had to stay home because of a fever. They had a fabulous time at the party, and even though B didn't climb much, he announced when he got home he wanted his birthday party when he turned four to be there. Not going to happen, but that's ok. He's probably already changed his mind to mini-golf by now (see below). Anyway, one of the other comments B made to me was that, "We weren't seeing many Chebwolets. Only Dodge, Dodge, Dodge." This child has some kind of strange obsession with Chevrolets. First off, Daddy-o and I have only ever owned Mazdas and Toyotas, so I'm not sure what this interest in American made cars is about. But second, he's three. Who cares about brands of cars at age three? He is such a different type of boy from T. I think part of it is that he likes saying, "Chebwolet." But still, it's bizarre to me.

Today, B wanted frosted mangoes for breakfast. What that translates to is the jar of previously frozen mangoes that I had put in the fridge yesterday to defrost.

B was also looking at one of the plates we have (see above). It's a remnant from my childhood that the kids now use. As he got to the Big Mac character, he called it "Buffalo Burger." Yes, we have warped them.

And above is a picture of B having fun at a birthday party today at Peter Pan Mini Golf. He was telling me all about how Daddy-o didn't play tennis but some of the other grown-ups played tennis. We finally figured out he had his sports confused again. Tennis=mini-golf. But they all had a ton of fun. I'm not sure if B had gone mini-golfing in his memory.

Edited to say: Grandpa reminded me that they all went minigolfing at the TPWD Expo in October.
