Russian Kale
I sauteed some Russian kale for dinner. I bribed the boys into trying it; J could not be induced to try it for any reason. It's too green for her preferences. I had the boys try it with seasoned salt on top. T tried a bite and didn't like it. B tried it and liked it. He asked for more, but he wanted the "more" with ketchup. He also put ketchup on his brussel sprouts the other night, and last winter he went through a ketchup on broccoli and cauliflower stage. It seems ketchup is the universal condiment for vegetables in his book. But he put a bunch more of the kale on a pita with some other leftovers, and he ate it.
We joke that B is our human garbage disposal. When the other two kids won't eat something, he will usually eat it. Some day he's going to be mad at us for using him to eat everything in the house, but for right now, he's quite useful!
