camelpulting
Yesterday, T, J and I watched Nanny McPhee for the first time. They liked it but were a bit freaked out by a few parts. J did not see the humor in the scenario where the 17th nanny quits because she thinks the six oldest children have cooked and are eating the baby. J was upset by this idea and then for the next thirty minutes of the film was sure the baby was going to be axed off. I couldn't convince her that the baby wasn't going to bite the big one, especially in a PG rated children's film. T loved the baby whenever she appeared on the screen and thought she was really cute.
Later in the evening, T was asking about why the kids were going to "camelpult" the baby in the kitchen. There is a scene early in the movie where some of the girls are catapulting vegetables into a stockpot and under a magic spell nearly catapult the baby as well. I finally convinced T it was not "camelpulting" and that they didn't actually catapult the baby. Then J wanted to know what a catapult was. T gathered up a fire engine ladder and some legos and was prepared to use them on the edge of the kitchen table to demonstrate for J how a catapult works before I nixed the plan. J had figured it out by then.
And true to form, when T found out that the movie is based on a series of books, he is now more excited about reading the books than watching the movie again.
