A perfect dinner
- baked chicken
- homemade gravy (which we ran out of ... I didn't make quite enough)
- brown basmati rice
- steamed fresh asparagus
- fresh mango
T also had some leftover strawberries out of fruit salad from breakfast while B polished off the blueberries and blackberries in the fruit salad. T didn't eat the asparagus last night because he said it was too bitter (and he was right-- it was more bitter than usual). But the rest of the food is among his most favorite things to eat.
And then there is J. She won't eat any of that. She had raisins and something she loves, almond butter on a wild rice cake. We'd give her bread or tortilla, but she really prefers rice cakes. She likes things that are crunchy. I think she'd put the almond butter on potato chips if we'd let her.
There was also a discussion at dinner last night about upcoming events. We were talking about friends who would be at the Round Rock Express game on Sunday night that the kids are going to see. All three kids then insisted Uncle M would be there. I'm not sure why. Then they started asking if Uncle S is coming for Christmas. We told them that we had no idea since it's a little early to start planning for Christmas at this point. They insisted we ask Uncle S., which we said we'd do, but we told them that we were pretty sure that Uncle S. would tell us he has no idea yet either!
