a family list
Yesterday evening, J was writing in a notebook. She was making lists of things. She decided to make a list of everyone who lives in the house. She put down Red Dog, Blue Dog, T, J, B, Daddy-o, Mama, and her deceased sister R. T argued that R doesn't live in the house and shouldn't be on the list. J said that she was still part of the family. T argued back that there are other people in our family (grandparents, uncles, etc.) that J hadn't put on the list. J said that R is in heaven, and that she (J) believes that heaven is all around us, so therefore R could be on her list. T is still not buying the idea that heaven is all around us. He's been wresting lately with the concept of a soul or spirit, and I'm having a hard time imparting that information and those beliefs to him in a way he can understand.
